ABOUT CONNECTICUT’S WORKFORCE PROGRAMS

Connecticut’s workforce programs are a blending of state legislated monies and federal funds. Because federal funds have a very short life, grant initiatives vary constantly.

Programs currently available

New Hire/Re-employment

·         This program links skills and talents to new occupations and industries.

Lay off Aversion

·         Trains incumbent workers to prevent their imminent lay off.

Trade Adjustment Assistance Program

·         Provides assistance to workers and firms hurt by foreign trade.

WIB Supported Programs

·         There are five geographical areas covering the state and provide programs designed specifically for their region.

These Grant approvals are based on very competitive criteria.  Funds are limited and only awarded to a small percentage of applicants.

There are no upfront costs or out of pocket expenses. If for any reason your grant application is turned down, YOU OWE US NOTHING.
